BS 21/ISO 7 EN 10226-1. Inert jointing compounds
or PTFE tape should be applied to taper threads.
PTFE tape should not be used in conjuction
with stainless steel threads due to the water soluble chloride ions it 1 2 1 3
contains.
XPress flat face unions are supplied with Fibre washer seals (XPress UK specification European specification
copper).
